Our Tour Guides are expert storytellers and they’re excited to share the wonders of the Kilkenny medieval era with your students and fostering a fascination with our rich and often colourful 800 year history.
During their visit, students will learn about the people of Kilkenny’s past, discovering what we learn about how they lived from the artifacts they left behind.

History Explorer Museum Visit
Our expert guide will lead a special tour for your class around the museum, with a focus on the ‘Working as an Historian’ and ‘Life, society, work and culture in the past’ curriculum strands.
During their visit, students will learn about the people of Kilkenny’s past, discovering the many layers of history that can be explored in the museum.
They will have activity sheets to complete during their visit, as well as suggested post-visit classroom activities.
